Job Details
An international insurance firm are seeking to secure a senior qualified actuarial student, or newly qualified actuary to support their business change project team.
The Role
The successful applicant will assist with the implementation strategy of IFRS 17 for this global firm. The team builds financial models, provides thought leadership in relation to IFRS 17 and provides actuarial business support to non-actuarial functions within the wider business.
This role allows the successful candidate to gain corporate advising skills, as this team deals with a range of senior stakeholder. For candidates who want commercial experience a consultancy can offer, but prefers an insurance office this is a great option.
The role officially sits within the actuarial consulting team so whilst IFRS 17 is the main focus, long term this team focus on market trends/changes and advises the actuarial teams accordingly.
The Requirements
- Student Actuary with more than 2 years experience within a life insurance or a newly qualified actuary
- Knowledge of IFRS 17
- Excellent communication skills
