Head of BAU Pricing

A successful and renowned insurer are looking to find the ideal individual to fill the position of Head of BAU Pricing, to work across their lines of business, reporting into and working closely with the Director of Insurance.

The responsibility of the role will require a commercial mindset and the ability to lead in a strategic manner, often identifying areas of improvement and optimisation, to increase customer retention and drive business profitability. You will be expected to manage and implement New Business and Renewal pricing.

You will be interacting heavily with key stakeholders, often reporting the team's analysis to them, while managing multiple direct reports and engaging with other functional units. As such, this role will require great communication skills, the ability to translate technical work into layman terms and the ability to effectively engage and influence individuals.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced qualified Actuary, having an extensive background in pricing, understanding not only the technical work, but the commercial mindset needed to drive a business. Experience in the likes of Emblem, Radar, SAS and/or SQL is required, as is the track record of being an effective manager.
