Job Details
HFG have partnered with a leading Global Insurer to assist in their search for a Delegated Authority Manager.
Job Purpose:
Managing all third-party arrangements, ensuring compliance with the company`s Delegated Authority Procedures and Broker Vetting Procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- To have oversight of all delegated authority matters, including managing the approval, ongoing monitoring and auditing processes for coverholders and TPAs in line with the Delegated Authority Procedures.
- To have oversight of all matters relating to the use of intermediaries, ensuring the procedures detailed within the Broker Vetting Procedures are being complied with.
- To manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM`) system, which houses all third parties, and its ongoing development.
- To manage the updates required to all third-party processes, ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures relating to management of third parties are kept under regular review and developed as necessary.
- To report on delegated authority arrangements and the use of third parties to the Product Governance & Distribution Committee (PGDC`).
- To assist the Compliance Officer in the completion of regulatory and Lloyd`s returns as required and ensure that actions arising from market thematic reviews are embedded within the company.
- To provide guidance and training as necessary to others in the company on compliance with regulatory and Lloyd`s rules pertaining to the use of third parties and circulate information to key stakeholders within the organisation as appropriate.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with all business units and Lloyd`s.
- To manage the third-party sections of the annual Compliance Plan and ensure proposed projects / tasks are completed.
- Manage and mentor two individuals within the Compliance Department, including ongoing and annual performance management reviews.
- Provide co-ordination support for internal audit reviews.
- To complete ad hoc tasks as requested by the Compliance Officer.
Skills and Experience Specification:
- Attention to detail; strong due diligence and investigative skills; ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the business in a confident and professional manner; self-starter; hardworking; IT literate.
- Experience of working within a Delegated Authority or Compliance role within an insurance company or other financial institution.
- Strong analytical, written, organisation and communication skills.
