My client, a leading Lloyd's syndicate, is searching for a bright and presentable part-qualified actuary to join their divisional stroke central reserving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating best estimate` claims and premium reserves for one or more divisions
- Preparation of reserving summaries and associated process documentation
- Preparation of year-end SAO`s and accompanying reports as required by Lloyd`s and the PRA.
- Analysis of Lloyd`s market data for benchmarking purposes
- To support the business planning process whilst feeding in knowledge acquired during quarterly reserving exercise.
- Calculation of Technical Provisions for Solvency
- Provide inputs to the Capital Model
- Input/support for Actuarial Function Reports and other reports as needed
- Support risk management
Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years in GI actuarial
- Progress steadily through the actuarial exams
- 2:1 or above in a numerate subject
- Strong A-level results, including A in Mathematics
- Strong IT skills, especially Excel, VBA and/or SQL
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
