Job Details
In this role you will be responsible for independently underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Liability targets, as well as to negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions for large / key clients.
Key Duties:
- Underwrite in line with LoB governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU,
- Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles Ensure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inception
- Ensure utilization of global pricing tools
- Independently underwrite large new and renewal accounts within assigned authorities to meet top and bottom line targets (regional and/or global)
- Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers
- Proactively manage capacity Underwrite large / key International Insurance Programs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and key clients and other relevant stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional liability underwriting experience
- Specialized expert understanding of multiple sub-LoB products and portfolio within Liability
- Very good established relationships with brokers at peer group level and within market
- Specialized understanding of local Liability insurance markets and competitor landscape, including global elements
- Very good understanding of legal and regulatory framework Preferably experience working at client / broker level
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written) is mandatory
