Job Details
Oliver James Associates are currently supporting two Longevity teams based in and around London. Both Insurers are seeking part-qualified actuarial students to join their team.
A role within a longevity team consists of carrying out research and analysis of enhanced mortality ratings in different geographical locations, supporting management with understanding longevity risk and reviewing longevity pricing factors for Insurance products. In summary, Longevity teams are multi-talented.
With this in mind, our clients are interested in speaking with part-qualified actuarial students, either from a Pensions or Life Insurance background that have a good understanding of modelling and risk.
The successful candidates will have:
- More than 2 years experience within a life insurance office, reinsurer or consultancy.
- Ideally studying towards the FIA exams. If candidates have not sat the actuarial exams they will need to have significant and relevant experience within a Longevity/Life Insurance research team.
- Excellent academic record
