Senior Actuarial Analyst

We have an exciting role with a leading general insurer the responsibilities of the role will include:

• Providing actuarial analysis to support the assessment of claims reserves for current and prior accident years.
• Providing actuarial analysis to support the assessment of claims risks, supporting the delivery of the internal capital model.
• Develop your managerial skills by overseeing the work of junior team members.
• Assessing product profitability.
• Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
• Effectively provide actuarial Management Information to support our stakeholders in decision making.
• Ensure key controls are completed to mitigate risks, including fraud and financial mis-representation.

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a degree in actuarial science, statistics, maths, physics etc (or equivalent qualification), level 2:1 or higher.
• Have 2+ years of experience in general insurance, with reserving experience being desirable.
• Be making progress towards the Core Technical Actuarial exams or have exemptions.
• Have strong IT skills, including experience of VBA and ResQ or similar.
• Have strong communication skills possessing the ability to explain Actuarial concepts to non-actuaries.
• Have a focus on self-development.
