Fairbank Partners are working with a successful general insurer in their search for a part-qualified Actuary to join their Reserving function, to work across a wide variety of classes on both syndicate and company paper. 

The successful candidate will have begun the actuarial exams, and will have a strong academic background. They will have experience in general insurance actuarial (reserving or Lloyd's market would be a bonus).

Key responsibilities:

  • Quarterly reserving for a wide range of syndicate and company classes
  • Calculation and reporting of quarterly Solvency II Technical Provisions
  • Supporting pricing reviews and rate changes 

Key requirements:

  • Part-qualified Actuary 
  • Excellent communicator
  • Sound technical ability, and familiarity with any of the following: ResQ, VBA, SAS, SQL
