Job Details

Modelling Consultant sought on a permanent basis for a renowned personal and commercial lines insurer. This is an opportunity for a talented and highly technical individual to apply their Modelling, Pricing or Data Science talents with a major player in the General Insurance industry.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Modelling Consultant include:

  • Lead the development, implementation and testing of pricing models for different products
  • Identify and test pricing model data to improve understanding and performance
  • Carry out quality control processes and checks to ensure exemplary standards
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other technical teams across the business

Essential experience:

  • Experience of the technical development of predictive models
  • Hands on experience working with Big Data
  • Experience as a Pricing Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist or in a similar role
  • Exceptional numerical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable experience:

  • Experience of pricing within General Insurance
  • Educated to degree level in a highly numerate subject
  • Experience using machine learning techniques
  • Experience in a programming language e.g. Python or R
  • Experience using Emblem or Radar
