Interim - IFRS17 Actuary (Life Insurance) - South West England

Fairbank Partners are currently working with a Life Insurer based in South England in the search for a Qualified Actuary to join their IFRS17 Project. Flexible working arrangements are available. 

Main responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to design and deliver solutions to reduce/streamline/remove out of model adjustments for IFRS17.
• Design and develop efficient processes to combine OOMAs with modelled results to meet ambitious reporting deadlines in future
• Play an active role in discussions with senior stakeholders  e.g. Head of Financial Reporting for Insurance business
• Develop detailed cashflow projections for individual OOMAs

Desirable Skills

• Qualified actuary (or similar level of experience) with UK Life Insurance experience
• Experience of actuarial reporting for a Life Insurer including the need for OOMAs
• Understanding of control environments for financial reporting
• Understanding of IFRS17 requirements
• Experience of design or implementation of process change
