Our Client, a leading Lloyd`s syndicate, is searching for an ambitious and exceptionally bright individual to work within the Actuarial team to focus on the build and enhancement of data driven products that support the provision of value-adding analytics and insight in respect of pricing, risk selection, portfolio management and reserving of insurance products.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain the core Actuarial data system underlying the suite of Actuarial analytical tools
- To build new and develop existing data models to ensure fitness for purpose and optimality of performance
- To investigate opportunities to extract data from non-standard sources to enhance pricing and portfolio management
Key Skills & Experience:
- Have obtained or on the road to obtain a top degree in a numerate subject (i.e. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics etc.)
- Have existing programming knowledge/skills ie in R, Python, SQL, Matlab etc.
- Be a recent graduate
- Minimum AAB at A-level including Mathematics
- Strong GCSE`s
- Strong desire to work in General Insurance
- Excellent IT skills
- A passion for data and analytics
