Our international reinsurance client are seeking a Non-Life Actuary to join their newly established company in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a new company in the Irish insurance space. The role will be involved in a broad range of actuarial and risk management activities to assist their growing business and will support the company’s HoAF and CRO.
The responsibilities of this Non-Life Actuary will include:
- Developing and improving the company’s reserving and Solvency II technical provisions models. Performing calculations of quarterly and Solvency II technical provisions. Drafting the actuarial sections of the Solvency and Financial Condition Report and Regular Supervisory Report. Assisting the CRO in producing papers for the Board/Risk Committee. Work alongside the CRO in all the development, implementation and maintenance of the risk management framework across the company.
This Non-Life Actuary role is suitable for either experienced nearly qualified candidates or recently qualified actuaries with at least 4 years’ non-life insurance experience. The ideal candidate will have previous reserving, Solvency II and/or risk management experience. Ability to work effectively on your own initiative, as well as in a small multi-disciplined team is essential.
