My client's risk family, a blue chip insurer, is going through an exciting evolution from one that BU's go through as more of a checklist to a function that business decisions will be made from. This has come about not due to regulatory pressure but rather having the foresight of understanding what's going to be best for the busyness's continued success and growth.

Financial Risk has been identified as a priority and there are a number of new headcount approved.

  • This role leads the development and implementation of interest rate and foreign exchange risk with key stakeholders.
  • This role also promotes embedding risk adjusted capital metrics in key business processes to improve risk and capital management.
  • A successful candidate should have experience in establishing risk governance process in the past as well as technical knowledge to design and apply financial related metrics to control risk exposure tailor to the business unit circumstances.
  • You will ideally have 7-11 years of hands on experience in financial risk management; actuarial, finance or investment discipline
