Working closely and reporting to Head of Investment Strategy, you will be responsible for economic research as well as asset allocation in my clinet's multi-asset funds of over $36 billion.

The specific responsibilities will entail:

Providing substantive economic researches and analytics in support of company's strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions, with strong focus on (i) macroeconomic monitoring on Asia and US markets; (ii) identifying business cycles and key indicators across asset classes; and (iii) developing market outlooks and corresponding investment thesis.

Driving the tactical asset allocation process and investment mandates by conducting market research, monitoring markets and macro issues, and balancing the key considerations such as risk-return trade-off, company's risk tolerance, business profiles, etc.

Effectively communicating viewpoints of the economy, markets and asset allocation decisions with the Investment Committee and senior management; and collaborating with the portfolio managers in the implementation of company's asset allocation strategies for individual funds.

Identifying new investment trends, opportunities and capabilities that company needs to build to sustain and improve investment performances.

Assisting the asset-liability management (ALM) team in ALM initiatives, e.g. duration management, hedging, liability-driven investment, etc., and working with relevant departments for implementation.

Managing team and providing guidance to junior staff.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of highly relevant economic research and/or asset allocation experiences;

Working knowledge of macroeconomics and econometrics including a strong knowledge of Asia and US economies;

Knowledge of the full gamut of asset classes, including familiarity with both traditional and alternative strategies, is strongly preferred;

Proven ability to articulate market viewpoints and investment thesis, both written and oral;

CFA charter holder; some actuarial knowledge will be a plus;
 
Experiences in managing or leading a team including ability to mentor and coach;
 
Open, intelligent and collaborative candidate will be highly valued.
