Head of Actuarial (Modelling/Change)
My client is looking for an experienced and dynamic actuary to lead a key business function. You will manage a team of 20 people with 6 team lead reports.
You will be the key liaison between senior stakeholders in understanding their needs and being able to communicate to the team what is required from their actuarial models.
- People management: They require a very strong leader of people who is very comfortable in leading Managers of people. You will be actively involved in staff appraisals, career development plans, project allocation.
- Change management: The role will have multiple projects running in parallel - ideally you will have led and not just been involved in change projects.
- Stakeholder management: You will have demonstrable experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders in your organisation.
- Modelling experience: Your recent experience is likely to be more high level. This modelling background is important for you to gain the “buy-in” and have credibility with the team.
