IFRS 17 Actuary - Life
One of the most prestigious Life Insurers is looking to grow its Group IFRS 17 team. This is a perfect chance for a qualified Actuary to play a key role in the IFRS 17 implementation process in a half-technical half-commercial role within a prosperous environment.
This team involves really understanding the key levers and financial impact as a result of IFRS 17. Your role will involve modelling and understanding the numbers to be able to offer recommendations. You will be involved in calculations and methodology; therefore, good Excel skills are required.
- Group role which means you will gain exposure to all different areas of business and you will have high visibility;
- Great part of the role will involve stakeholder management, which will provide you with exposure to Group CFO (no.2 in the business) and Director of Group Finance.
They require a qualified actuary with strong interpersonal skills and problem solving / analytical skills, who can think of practical ways to implement change. Reporting background is desired and IFRS 17 experience is ideal (not mandatory). This role is well-suited to actuaries coming from consultancy or actuaries from industry who have some previous commercial experience as well.
