Our client has established worldwide Insurance market share, across Non-life, Life and Reinsurance. Though a continued period of growth and current market regulations, their focus is to strengthen their global management team with the appointment of an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the preparation of Solvency II reports which will involve a high degree of planning, review, assessment of existing gaps and assumptions for senior management within predefined timelines.
  • Be engaged in the preparation of Quarterly Solo QRTs for submission
  • Support manager in ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements such as the Solvency II Directive
  • Work with the manager in providing technical guidance to the business for the SII PIII implications.
  • Maintain the regulatory reporting timetables, ensuring local operations requirements are effectively integrated with the group reporting processes.
  • Review of audit files and supportive workings for interim and full year regulatory audit reviews provided to the External and Internal Auditors. Manage queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure group accounting policies are consistently and effectively applied as far as permitted by local accounting standards.
  • Monitoring of developments in accounting standards and implementation of changes to policies, processes and controls to ensure continued compliance with accounting standards and other relevant reporting guidelines
  • Monitoring of core controls such as balance sheet reconciliations across Financial Control and Shared Services to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Play a supporting role in ensuring Legal entity oversight and governance
  • Liaise with different parties including Actuarial, Enterprise Risk Management, Underwriting and Claims as necessary.
  • Assist the manager with ad hoc tasks as necessary (including projects such as Brexit and IFRS 17).

Your Experience:

  • Strong accountancy background
  • Working experience of the implementation of regulations or processes surround reporting and modelling
  • Extremely competent at networking and liaising with other businesses units
