Solvency II Lead

This role will lead a small team of junior trainee actuaries with the responsibility of producing Solvency II Technical Provisions on a quarterly basis and lead the Insurance Risk Calibration process. This key role will be highly visible, as you will have the opportunity to interact with and advise senior management. We are looking for an individual who is internally motivated, intellectually curious, ability to work independently, has the ability to manage multiple projects, and is driven to enhance existing processes.
The role involves supporting key Solvency II activities across the European group and assist in capital modelling projects from a Corporate Actuarial perspective. More specifically, this involves:
Solvency II Reserving:
•Ensure quarterly production of Technical Provisions
•Responsibility for production of quarterly and annual Quarterly Reporting Templates (QRTs) and the Risk Margin
•Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Data Assessments and that any remediation activities are completed on time
•Lead the Actuarial Solvency II Audit engagement
•Provide inputs into actuarial reporting including Reserves Committee.
Actuarial Function Reporting:
•Assist in Actuarial Function requirements for relevant Actuarial Function area (Reinsurance Opinion and Technical Provisions).
Capital Model Calibration:
•Lead the annual insurance risk calibration process
• Ensure calibration of One Year factors ensuring timely and accurate delivery
•Assist in Model Validation process.
•Responsible for the production of quarterly cash-flow and duration analysis feeding into Asset-Liability matching process
•Provide key inputs and review into Financial forecasting process
•Provide input to key presentations / ad hoc projects as appropriate for the team
•Liaise with ERM and CRM on production of KRIs and KPIs.
• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Qualified Actuary
• Commercial lines experience preferred
