Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the financial impact assessment of the IFRS17 project in collaboration with Group, providing financials to Group and local executives
- Work collaboratively in a technical change team to deliver effective solutions within project timelines, overcoming challenges as they arise
- Liaise with senior management and key stakeholders, in collaboration with the project technical lead
- Engage in peer reviews of methodology, models and documentation, providing appropriate challenge and suggestion for improvements
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement that focuses on enhancing the service provided to the stakeholders
- Create and maintain strong working relationships
Skills/Qualifications:
- Fellow of the IFoA with experience in an actuarial reporting team
- Commercially aware with experience of the life insurance industry, including an understanding of the regulatory developments
- Experience of reporting procedures, processes and operating controls for a robust delivery of reliable and accurate financial reporting to auditable standards
- Valuation experience including understanding of actuarial modelling, assumption setting, assessing data quality
- Able to manage direct reports by providing direction and empowering them to deliver on results
- Able to lead complex analyses and actuarial services on projects
- Ability to interpret technical guidance and produce technical documentation
- Documentation experience and excellent written communication skills
- Confident communicator that is able to explain technical material to a range of stakeholders
- Able to facilitate improvements to processes and standards where warranted to improve statutory, regulatory and internal compliance
- Excellent IT skills, specifically Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and to lead a high performing team
- Strong proactive team player who works collaboratively
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a desire to drive the business forward
- Comfortable in working in a change environment
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, adapt quickly and provide rapid solutions to issues
- Strong communication and influencing skills, both written and oral

- Able to liaise with senior auditor to define scope and facilitate review of assigned actuarial processes
