My client a renowned life insurance in the south of England are looking for a Qualified Reporting Actuary to join their Reporting with-profits team.
This is an opportunity to build your managerial as well as your technical skills .

The core responsibilities of the role:
*Production and analysis of all regulatory solvency metrics (Peak 1, Peak 2, ICA, Solvency II) and IFRS reporting for with-profits business
*Carry out investigations into the results and liaising with the AFH on technical issues.
*Responsible for continuous improvement and development of reporting processes and updating for regulatory change.
*Input into a variety of capital and risk management projects.
*The role will have people management responsibility for up to 4 people and be responsible for workflow management of junior members of the team and technical review, analysis and sign-off of results.

The Details
Your role will vary day to day, but mainly you can expect:
*to provide advice and support to senior management on a regular basis including the preparation of analysis, working independently to a high quality standard
*to assist in delivering recommendations and solutions to business problems, by using actuarial systems, company systems or manual methods as necessary, and in an appropriate manner, recognising the technical knowledge of the customer, to ensure that all work is produced to a high level of quality and a timely manner so that outcomes of the business plan are met and can be exceeded
*to be responsible for the identification and proposal of possible improvements and for the subsequent initiation and specification of new systems and procedures, thereby ensuring systems (or processes) within the actuarial team are supported so that business needs are met and can be exceeded
*to be responsible for providing technical support and coaching to student actuaries
*to manage the delegation of work to more junior members of the team and be responsible for the checking and approval of work to the required standard
*to manage, coach and develop team members
