I am working for a leading business within the banking sector who are hiring for their Middleware team who ensure seamless data flow and integration. They are looking for a Middleware Engineer with a focus on Kafka to join their dynamic environment filled with exciting technological challenges.

Your Role

Support developers and engineers in integrating their applications.Engineer and automate services around the Kafka platform.Assist with engineering other middleware transport solutions (call, message, and file).Collaborate closely with teams across networks, storage, operating systems, and databases.Automate routine tasks to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Your Profile

Completed vocational training as an IT specialist or equivalent professional experience.2+ years of experience working with Kafka, ideally Red Hat Streams for Apache Kafka on OpenShift.Proficiency in Java or Python and a strong understanding of complex systems.Enjoys working in cross-functional teams.Willingness to participate in on-call duties.Fluent in German, both written and spoken.

This position is hybrid-working based in Zurich.
