  • Monitor operational outputs to ensure accuracy and alignment with business expectations, implementing revised processes as needed.
  • Develop training and onboarding materials for new DA team members.
  • Manage the outsourced delegated authority underwriting data capture process.
  • Ensure all Delegated Authority Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and promptly address any issues.
  • Ensure data integrity across systems, identifying and documenting notable exceptions.
  • Oversee the preparation, approval, and submission of delegated authority syndicate returns in line with regulatory timelines.
  • Lead the development of Management Information (MI) for delegated authority underwriting systems and recommend improvements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with delegated authority underwriters and operational teams to ensure timely query resolution.
  • Conduct ad hoc reviews as requested by the Board or Directors.
  • Lead and mentor the DA team, ensuring ongoing technical development and operational excellence.
  • Uphold the company's core values in all interactions and business activities, ensuring ethical and professional standards are maintained.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • 10+ years of operational experience in Delegated Authority within the insurance industry, ideally within Lloyd's of London.
  • Strong understanding of Delegated Authority processes, Bordereaux, and third-party management systems.
  • Proven track record of performance analysis and operational improvements in a DA environment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and investigative capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with all levels of the business confidently.
  • Highly organised with exceptional time management and planning skills.
  • Experienced in managing and coaching teams, driving continuous development and improvement.
  • Strong IT literacy with experience using insurance systems and platforms (e.g., open market systems).
