Life (Re)insurance Pricing Manager (Protection)

If you are a qualified life actuarial leader with knowledge or experience of the UK Protection market, then Star Actuarial is currently representing the perfect role for you.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the protection pricing team of a leading global reinsurer where you will have line manager responsibility and be a subject matter expert across pricing and biometrics.

In this highly visible and integral role, you will oversee the development of technical expertise and knowledge relevant to reinsurance pricing for the protection business across the team, checking and peer reviewing the work of more junior colleagues and acting as mentor and role model.

For this reason, the successful candidate must possess top-notch communication, interpersonal and team- building skills, having the ability to nurture and develop the career of members of a team.

You will also be instrumental in driving and implementing improvements to pricing tools and processes, keeping abreast of the ever-changing landscape of new technology and embracing and adopting this within working practices.

In addition, you will play a key role in supporting the development and review of the protection basis and assumptions, providing technical input into the development of new protection propositions where required.

To be successful in the role, you will have well-honed knowledge of protection pricing processes, including experience analysis, assumptions setting and modelling methodology. 

Reinsurance pricing experience is preferable.
