Reinsurance Actuary

Leading insurer seeking a Reinsurance Actuary to join their team London, responsible for analysing reinsurance pricing and executing new transactions

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading BPA insurer seeking a Reinsurance Actuary to join their team London, responsible for analysing reinsurance pricing and executing new transactions.

Within this role you will work across the DB team to analyse reinsurance pricing and implement reinsurance terms. You will analyse live pricing received from reinsurers and calculate relevant pricing metrics under various reinsurance scenarios to support key pricing decisions. You will also ensure reinsurance terms are accurately built into pricing models and analyse pricing and operational impact of new reinsurance terms.

Role requirements:

• NNQ or qualified actuary
• Experience of working within a reinsurance team, preferably within the bulk annuity market although this is not essential
• Knowledge of the DB de-risking market and pricing of DB liabilities would be beneficial

This area is a major growth area for the business, having just written their largest transaction to date. This business prides themselves on being innovative and forward thinking and invest a lot into cutting edge systems and technology to remain at the forefront of the market. This role in particular will allow for contact and exposure to senior leadership and exec board members and the chance to progress very quickly in a fairly small but growing team.
