Senior Analyst - Deal Pricing

Attention Student Actuaries! Are you gearing up for a fresh opportunity in 2025?

Oliver James are partnering with a leading global reinsurer who are looking to add two ambitious student actuaries to their expanding team. This is a fantastic chance to dive into a high-impact role with a growing global organisation, in arguably one of hottest areas of the market: Funded Reinsurance, Swaps and New Business Deals.

This dynamic team are responsible for calculating fees and premiums for clients across global markets, covering products like PRT, individual retirement plans, and various savings and protection options in Europe and North America. The team uses cash flow and capital modelling to ensure accurate pricing that aligns with risk profiles and meets governance standards. You will be working closely with the ALM and Investments team, especially around funded reinsurance and investment assumptions for pricing.


Ideal candidates:

  • Student Actuary; Minimum half way through exams up to newly qualified
  • UK market experience; insurance, reinsurance or conusltancy
  • Able to travel to London c2 days a week
  • Experience across: pricing, capital reporting, solvency II, modelling (Deal/Pricing - PRT experience would be a nice to have, but not a pre-requisite!)
  • Good general understanding of market risks (interest rates, FX, credit spread, liquidity) and how they impact capital requirements
  • Broad understanding of reinsurance
