Senior Actuarial Analyst - GMP

Leading mid-sized consultancy in their search for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their actuarial technical team | Those wanting to stop or have stopped sitting actuarial exams will also be considered

Oliver James are pleased to be working with a leading mid-sized consultancy in their search for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their actuarial technical team with a focus on the delivery of GMP equalisation projects.

Within this role, you will check technical calculations, provide technical expertise and support to client teams with a dominant focus on GMP work. Although GMP work will be your main focus initially, over time this business will incorporate similar technical project work into your role as the demand for specific GMP work reduces.

Role requirements:

• Part-qualified actuary or technical equivalent skill-set with a desire to not
• GMP equalisation calculation experience, or knowledge of other similar technical actuarial calculations and willing to specialise
• Good understanding of valuing UK pension schemes defined benefits

This is an excellent role for those more inclined to focusing on technical actuarial matters and perhaps looking to steer away from a client facing position. Longevity in this role need not be a concern, with a fluid career path and a role that will adapt depending on the demand for GMP specialists. This business operates a meritocracy, whereby progression is based very much on performance rather than tenure.
