Job Details

Clarence George is currently working with a recently established reinsurer looking for an experienced Chief Actuary to join the team. This position will support the firm’s rapid growth plans and expansion in key global markets.

Role/Team:

  • Reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Chief Actuary will be responsible for leading and managing the actuarial team
  • Key responsibilities include regulatory filings and IFRS17 financial reporting, business and financial planning, assumption setting and the embedding of risk and capital management across the business
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on actuarial evaluations, market trends, and risk assessment

Profile:

  • Qualified Actuary 9+ years’ experience in life (re)insurance and good product knowledge, including 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or Scenario Based Approach (SBA) is desirable
  • Good career trajectory so far and looking for a step up in responsibility
