Actuary (Nearly/Newly Qualified) - With-Profits

pmactuarial specialise in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance.  We have been asked to find a nearly/newly qualified Actuary for a Glasgow based Insurer.

The purpose of the role is to support the actuarial function in developing the approach to the financial management of the with-profits funds, linking into the wider company strategy.  Some of the key responsibilities will be:

*  Development and enhancement of run-off plans for relevant funds

*  Development and embedding of financial management framework for all with-profits funds

*  Maintenance of with-profits miscellaneous surplus distribution policy

*  Strategic initiatives, including M&A and with-profits transformation activity.

The role would suit an individual who is close to qualifying or has recently qualified.  Whilst previous experience of with-profits would be advantageous, this role is open to those with an interest in this type of work.
