Expand your horizons post-qualification
At APR, we’re always on the lookout for newly qualified actuaries to join our team. We are a fast-growing consultancy with clients in Life, GI, Pensions and beyond - so if you’re looking to widen your actuarial experience after qualifying, a role at APR could be just what you’re after.
Who are we looking for?
There’s no specific template for an APR actuary – that said, we do all have some key qualities in common! We are looking for people who are:
- Looking to broaden their experience and pick up new skills
- Quick learners, numerate and excellent communicators
- Eager to take responsibility, both on client projects and within a progressive, growing business
If you can demonstrate the above, as well as any unique experience and skills you can bring to our team, we’d love to hear from you.
What we do
APR provides high-quality actuarial solutions to clients mainly in the insurance sector. These solutions often take the form of short-term actuarial support to supplement client teams, working on a broad selection of different projects. We also provide consulting solutions, using our expertise to address a variety of client needs in areas like data analysis, modelling and technical training services.
This means that the majority of your APR career will be spent on direct client work, typically on site at clients’ offices, contributing across all types of actuarial projects and helping our clients to meet the issues they face – all of which will quickly serve to broaden your experience. Projects can be based all around the UK, Ireland and sometimes beyond, and last for anywhere from a few weeks to many months.
When not working on client projects there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in all manner of internal activities, aimed at developing our expanding business, alongside a focus on training and continued development of your technical skills.
So, is APR for you?
By joining APR, you will become part of a select team of actuarial consultants, renowned for their quality – demonstrated by regular glowing client feedback and a rapidly expanding client base. Our team enjoy unrivalled variety in their work and gain experience across a wide range of actuarial projects.
If this appeals, we look forward to hearing from you!
By applying you confirm that you have (or will have) a legal right to live and work in the location you are applying for (please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship).
We’re an equal opportunities employer, committed to building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment for all employees and contractors. We champion a variety of voices, identities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. This commitment is closely aligned with our values, in particular We Excel, We Simplify and We Care. Please see APR’s website for our Equal Opportunities statement and commitments.
