Job Details

Clarence George is supporting a fast-growing Bermudan reinsurer to find an Assistant Vice President (AVP) Actuary to join their Actuarial team. This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified Actuary with extensive reporting experience in life re/insurance.

Having completed numerous transactions, the firm are looking for an ambitious professional who will support their continuous growth plans and lead a team of junior Actuaries.  

Team/Role:

  • Currently a team of 8 split between financial reporting, ALM and actuarial modelling  
  • Reporting into the VP, the AVP will lead on projects including the implementation of Long-Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) and act as the US GAAP subject matter expert
  • Ideally Bermuda based but the team are open to remote working

Profile:

  • 8+ years experience in the life re/insurance space
  • Qualified Actuary (e.g. FSA, FIA or equivalent)
  • Experienced in US GAAP reporting and LDTI
  • Team management skills and ability to collaborate with wider functions of the business
