Director - Data Workstream Lead

A leading insurer in Hong Kong is looking for a Data Work Stream Lead to help on a regional transformation programme.

The individual will be accountable for the successful delivery of the work-stream within the Data program, serving as the Product Owner in an Agile framework to define strategy and prioritise tasks. They act as the primary liaison with the senior accountable executive and their team on data deliverables, ensuring accurate capture of all data requirements. Collaborating with Data Technical leads and architects, they design solutions aligned with the Finance Data Strategy and ensure timely, quality delivery of data solutions. The role includes managing resources, overseeing the RFP process for consultants, and running operational meetings such as sprint planning and retrospectives. Additionally, they own the product road-map, prepare materials for design authority meetings, implement a communication strategy for updates, oversee testing, and manage the overall data architecture and budget to maximise value and benefits.

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience within insurance transformation.
• Knowledge of Actuarial or General Ledger Accounting and Reporting process.
• Performed the role of Product Owner and familiar with Agile delivery.
• Project Management experience in Data or Finance is required.
• Oracle or Prophet systems knowledge is desirable.
