Life Actuary - Consultant (senior) - IFRS 17 or Automation

Oliver James are delighted to present this unique Life Actuarial opportunity with one of our best Consultancy clients in Ireland. The business is looking for an ambitious actuary, who strives for success, whilst being passionate about building a positive working culture for themselves and the team.

This international consultancy have enjoyed huge success in the UK and Europe in recent years and are now looking to expand their operations in Ireland. The business already has an established finance offering in Dublin and launched their Irish Actuarial division earlier this year.

This company is incredibly employee oriented and have put a lot of effort into cultivating a positive working culture in the UK and have the same ambitions for Ireland.

You will join the business as the 2nd Actuary in Dublin working alongside the Life Partner. However, you will be part of a wider team of 50+ actuaries in the UK/EU. Therefore, you will have the freedom and growth opportunities associated with a start-up, combined with the security and support of a well-established business.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified or experienced actuary with strong IFRS 17 or Automation experience. Previous consultancy experience is highly desirable.

The responsibilities are flexible to the skills and ambitions of the chosen actuary, so I encourage you to apply for this role and discover the huge amount on offer here. In short:

• Only 10-20% business development, which is mainly supporting client pitches. If you are interested in Business Development, then you can take on more responsibility in this space.
• Work on domestic and international projects on behalf of the business. You will have access to resources from other business units.
• Be instrumental in the growth and shape of the business. Help to cultivate an amazing internal culture which puts employees first, and replicate success enjoyed in the UK.

Salary: up to €110k (DOE) + Bonus + Package

Location: Dublin City Centre

Time in the office: Ideally 3 days in the office, this is negotiable.
