Data Science Manager, Actuary or Non Actuary

Our client is seeking a Data Science Manager to join their Strategic Analytics team. This role focuses on developing predictive models and analytical tools to drive business enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analytics Solutions: Develop and prioritise data-driven solutions for business problems.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders in claims.
• Predictive Models: Oversee the creation of models using techniques like GLMs, NLP, and machine learning.
• Mentorship: Guide and develop a team of data scientists.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Python (a must), R, and SQL.
• Experience in statistical modelling and advanced analytics.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This role is to either an Actuary (if so, Pricing preferred) or Non Actuary in a similar role with a strong technical and analytics background, especially those with Python skills. It suits someone looking to work more on the data side and aspiring to become the head of analytics in the future.
