Reserving Manager, Personal Lines

Leadership in Reserving: Take on a pivotal role as a Reserving Manager, focusing on managing and overseeing reserving tasks across all company activities, with a strong emphasis on UK GAAP and Solvency II reserving best estimates.

Technical and Analytical Expertise: Lead the review of claims data, set methodologies and assumptions, and manage the production of quarterly reserving documentation and reports.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting, reinsurance, finance, and claims teams to drive accurate reserving results and support strategic decision-making.

Reserving Transformation Project: Play a key role in transforming the reserving process by developing and enhancing actuarial analytics, improving efficiency through automation, and streamlining processes using advanced technologies.

Regulatory Reporting: Assist in the production of management returns, manage the creation of Technical Provisions for the annual Actuarial Function Report, and liaise with external SAO actuaries and auditors.

Ideal Candidate: A qualified actuary with experience in General Insurance reserving, preferably within personal lines, with strong coding skills (Excel VBA, SQL, Python, R), excellent analytical abilities, and effective communication skills.
