I am currently recruiting for a growing reinsurer who are seeking a Reinsurance Business Development Assistant to join their team.
My client is looking for someone with 1-2 years experience in a broking/client-facing role, ideally on the reinsurance side. The day to day will consist of broker meetings, maintaining relationships with potential clients, discussing and assessing the risk and appetite and working closely as a number two to the head of department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, cedants, and (re)insurers to drive business growth.
- Ensure full compliance with internal guidelines, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to budget preparation and periodic reporting.
- Support the process of gathering inquiries and developing reinsurance business opportunities.
- Assist in identifying potential clients and market opportunities through research and competitor/market trend analysis.
- Aid in securing new and renewal business.
- Manage business development reporting and prepare the relevant documentation.
- Provide organisational support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, compiling reports, and performing other administrative tasks.
- Maintain and update broker and client contact information.
- Help collect and analyse competitor data to stay informed on market trends.
- Collaborate with other departments, especially underwriters and brokers/cedants, to generate necessary data and insights.
- Ensure high service levels are delivered to both internal and external colleagues.
