Qualified Actuary Contract

Our client, a global financial services company have an upcoming opportunity for 2 Qualified Actuary - Contract roles. This position will be reporting to the Actuarial Manager as part of the close-knit Actuarial Team.  For this role we are seeking a Newly Qualified Actuary with 5 years’ experience in the life insurance industry. This position is based in Dublin City Centre and has a hybrid working structure. This role will strengthen your risk management, consulting and client management skills as well as testing your communication and IT skills. This role is a 5-month FTC, and our client will consider day rate contractors for the position.

About this Qualified Actuary - Contract role 

Duties for this role include (but are not limited to): 

• Collaborating with potential clients to translate vision and strategy into clear product.
• Collaborate cross functionally as well as building working relationships at all levels.
• Manage analysis of both open and closed portfolios across multiple databases and managing various data sources.
• Aid in client onboarding (Including migrations), request for proposals, estimation and input into commercial offerings.
• Set up automated tools to assist reporting and portfolio analysis.

Actuarial skills required 

This role will suit a Newly Qualified Actuary with 5 years’ experience in the life insurance industry. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following: 

• Great written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Strong experience in MS Excel, SQL Python, Data Analytics (Robotics & Automation are an advantage)
• Excels in a fast-paced environment with a great attention to detail and highly organised.
• Keen commercial awareness with a strong customer focus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
