Head of Property Underwriting | Paris, La Défense

One of our exclusive clients, recognised as a global leader in P&C insurance are looking for their new Head of Property Underwriting Grands Comptes, following an internal promotion.

Based in Paris, La Défense, you will manage the most famous property Underwriting team in France focusing on Grands Comptes (C.A > 500M€). As the Head of Property Underwriting Grands Comptes, you will help maintain their leader position on this segment. You will report directly to the Head of Property France.

You have 10+ years of experience and you master all the facets of the underwriter profession (legal knowledge, commercial abilities and technical expertise). You ideally have previous experience in managing underwriting teams.

A summary of the role:

• Head of Property Underwriting Grands Comptes
• Provide technical support and lead the team
• Underwrite, develop and maintain the most profitable book of Property business in France, mainly global accounts

What you will need:

• 10+ years of experience in underwriting or brokerage across Property Line
• A strong understanding and grasp of technical underwriting and wordings
• Sharp negotiation and communication skills with a commercial mindset
• Willingness to pass on knowledge and train the more junior members of the team
• Prior experience managing a team is a plus
• Fluent in English

Location: Paris La Défense

Work from home: 2 days a week
