Capital Analyst

Our client has a great new opportunity for a Part Qualified Capital Actuary join a team of highly skilled Actuaries working at a leading European Insurance Group. The successful candidate will ideally have over 2 years’ experience working in an actuarial setting. This role is based in Dublin and has hybrid working options. This is a permanent role.  

About the Capital Analyst role  

In this role, you will be working on the Capital Actuarial team. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

• Quarterly SCR production, complex actuarial/capital model analyses, review and validation of elements of the internal model.  
• Provide Input and support Solvency II compliance including - ORSA, AFR, RSR, SFCR, Profit and Loss Attribution report, QRTs and other regulatory reporting.  
• Collaborate cross functionally with a variety of the group’s teams.  
• Provide first line validation work, support model change and independent validation activities.  
• Aid and contribute to the Finance, Capital, Reinsurance, Risk and Investment teams.  

Actuarial skills required  

This role would suit a Part Qualified Actuary who has over two years’ experience working in an actuarial setting. Non-life experience is advantageous. Additional skills required include:  

• Experience across multiple functions is preferable.  
• Strong experience using spreadsheet software and R.  
• Knowledge of other statistical and actuarial tools and techniques.  
• Intermediate knowledge of actuarial professional guidance and relevant legislation, finance and accounting practices.  
• Knowledge of insurance industry’s trends major issues and regulatory considerations.   
• Competent at prioritising and planning and has a can-do attitude and customer focused approach.
