Data and Pricing Specialist

We have a new opportunity for a Part Qualified Actuary join a team of highly skilled Actuaries working at a major Insurance and asset management group as a Data and Pricing Specialist. The successful candidate will great knowledge of Python and will work cross functionally, build and develop models and assist in model improvements and data manipulation. This position is based in Dublin and has a 1 day in office requirement. 

About the Data and Pricing Specialist role  

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

• Development of new methodologies and innovative data–driven solutions.   
• Collaborate cross functionally with a variety of the group’s teams.   
• Ability to present findings to stakeholders in an in a non-technical, understandable manner.  
• Create visual representations of data using POWER BI or matplotlib.   
• Data collection, statistical analysis, and modelling.  

Actuarial skills required 

This position would suit a Part Qualified Actuary who has several years’ experience working in a reinsurance role. Health, GI and /Pricing is advantageous. Additional skills required include:  

• Ability to work as part of a team.  
• Excellent know of Python as well as SQL and R.  
• Background in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing and predictive modelling. 
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.  
• Experience building, improving and fixing models. 
• Customer focused with great time management and a precise attention to detail.
