Capital Analyst - Paris

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Part Qualified Actuary to join a global commercial insurer as a Capital Analyst - Paris. Both French and English Fluency is a necessity. This role is based in Paris and has hybrid working options. The successful applicant will ideally have previously worked in insurance and have experience with Solvency II and working knowledge of capital modelling concepts. This is a non-life position open to those coming from a life/non-life background.

About the Capital Analyst - Paris role 

Duties for this Capital Analyst Role position include (but are not limited to): 

• Develop and maintain Solvency II internal model.
• Adjust and maintain model code.
• Produce, review and test model outputs including justifying their appropriateness for the entity’s exposure.
• Aid in the production of written reports and quantitative outputs.
• Support risk and Actuarial functions in production of internal model-based risk metrics i.e. stress testing for ORSA, cede reinsurance assessment.
• Aid engagement with the CBI and wider regulatory college on the ongoing use and development of the internal model.

Actuarial skills required

Our client is looking to find a Part Qualified Actuary with experience working for an insurance company. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following: 

• Fluency in both French and English.
• Experience of Solvency II.
• Strong written, communication and organisational skills.
• Great academic record with excellent numerical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of capital modelling concepts – R, coding &ReMetrica
• Strong knowledge of Excel – VBA experience is advantageous.
