Join a global leader in the Reinsurance sector as they search for a talented Head of Reserving to lead their actuarial team! Reporting to the CFO, you'll play a vital role in shaping the company's financial future.

You will need to have experience in Reinsurance, as well as P&C and Life. 80% of the role is P&C, 20% Life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quarterly reviews of premium, loss, and expense reserves for all P&C lines.
  • Oversee quarterly valuation of the L&H business.
  • Fulfill statutory roles, ensuring compliance with actuarial reporting and valuation requirements.
  • Lead IFRS 17 closing from reserving and collaborate with Finance on bridge analysis.
  • Act as a key person in-house for quantitative analyses related to reserving and solvency.
  • Present quarterly reserve analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external consultants for independent analysis of reserves.
  • Continuously enhance the reserve process and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Contribute to planning and controlling processes, reflecting insights from reserving exercises.

Requirements:

  • Experience with reinsurance knowledge and M&A experience.
  • Fellowship in a professional actuarial society (e.g., FIA, FIAA, or FCAS).
  • Detailed technical knowledge of reserving and related areas.
  • Good command of IFRS 4 and IFRS 17.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • P&C and Life experience
