Job Details

We are currently seeking a Qualified Actuary to join a leading global Insurer as a Corporate & Portfolio Actuary. As part of the Life and Health Corporate Actuarial Department you will be working with a team of high quality, diverse thinkers. This role is based in Dublin City Centre.  This position is open to those coming from a life or a reinsurance background. The ideal applicant will provide oversight of Life and Health Portfolio and periodically support a range of other teams and projects within the company. 


About the Corporate & Portfolio role  

Duties for this Corporate & Portfolio Actuary role include (but are not limited to):  

  • Provide oversight of the of the Life and Health Portfolio including the valuation of the Life and Health technical Liabilities under a range of bases including Solvency II and IFRS 17. 
  • Ensure smooth management of portfolio and optimise the economics of in-force business. 
  • Solvency II Reporting including - Actuarial Functions Report, RSR, SFCR, Quantitative Reporting Templates and Input on the ORSA Process. 
  • Corporate Tasks including - Board and Audit Committee reporting, Risk Reporting, liaising with external audit as required. 
  • New business deals and transactions as required and IFRS17 implementation as required. 


Actuarial skills required 

Our client is looking for a Qualified Actuary with 5 years life or reinsurance post qualified experience. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following:  

  • University Degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science. 
  • Strong experience managing projects is preferable. 
  • Highly analytical individual with a track record of developing and implementing solutions. 
  • Innovative self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines.  
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and communication skills.
