Structured Reinsurance - Nearly/Newly Qualified

We're currently seeking 2 x Actuaries to join a Retro team in London. The Analyst should be a part to nearly qualified actuary and will be primarily responsible for technical modelling and financial analysis for a range of UK and international insurers and property retro business.

Responsibilities include both the technical delivery of work and the communication of findings to brokers and clients. The candidate will be expected to co-manage or manage projects from inception to delivery, engaging other team members and clients as required.

As an Actuary, some of your key responsibilities will involve data preparation, reinsurance pricing and analysis, actuarial model building and testing, presentation of results and advice to clients and brokers, actuarial research and development, promotion of actuarial expertise internally, working collaboratively in a team environment with colleagues and client stakeholders, demonstrating commitment to personal & team development, identifying opportunities to work more efficiently and take on additional responsibility, and being responsible for working in accordance with the Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the policies, including participation in the management of risks that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

4 years’ plus experience in pricing, reserving or capital modelling, experience in the London market or reinsurance preferred but not essential, analytical skills – strong data analysis and manipulation. Strong communication skills – presenting complex ideas simply, strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
