Pricing Analyst

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join a Dublin based insurer who are well-known for their positive working environment. The successful applicant will join the Pricing team and contribute to the Pricing and Product Design for the international market. This position is based in Dublin and has a hybrid work structure. This is a great opportunity for a Trainee Actuary with preferably 2-3 years’ experience to join a vibrant company with a skilled team of people.

About the Pricing Analyst role 

This position will report to the Pricing Team Leader International. Duties for the Pricing Analyst position include (but are not limited to): 

• Managing pricing models for pricing reviews
• Carry out Solvency II calculations, analyse products’ solvency and conduct analysis of the profitability of proposed products in the context of solvency II
• Maintain good governance / documentation and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Conduct back testing of best estimate assumptions and assist with the updating of pricing assumptions.
• Work on projects as part of the pricing team such as budget calculation and IRFS17.

Actuarial skills required 

This Pricing Analyst position would best suit a candidate with 2- 3 years’ working experience. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following: 

• Strong Numerical skills and a high level of computer literacy – Excel, SAS and VBA
• Fluent English- French and Italian are an advantage
• Pricing experience a clear advantage
• Ability to thrive on a team and communicate effectively.
• Punctual and organise individual with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to Analyse and Problem solve to a high standard.
• Systemic and logical in working methods.
