HFG are currently recruiting for a leading insurer who are seeking a Commercial Fronting Manager on a 12 Month FTC basis to cover maternity.

My client is looking for an insurance professional with a background in delegated underwriting or underwriting process improvement. The role will entail managing a team of 25 and exploring how they are delegating authority, performance management and how risk is managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical negotiations with potential new fronting partners to establish commercial terms and conditions, working closely with Business Solutions and Legal teams to document agreements.
  • Develop processes to ensure prompt sharing of agreed terms with relevant departments.
  • Serve as primary contact for all fronted agreements within the business.
  • Annual renegotiation of T&C's with existing partners and captive contracts to secure competitive rates for customers.
  • Identify and mitigate key commercial risks, implement controls, and monitor risks continuously.
  • Initiate commercial audits, conduct reviews, and improve processes following issue identification.
  • Establish and maintain robust processes to ensure contractually agreed prices are accurately reflected in premium rates for Finance payment.
  • Experience of managing insurance fronting and/or binding authority contracts within the Insurance industry.
  • Ensure compliance with group governance standards for fronted and captive contracts, drawing on experience in insurance industry contract management.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and risk management, with experience in a complex global financial services organization.
