Health Pricing Analyst - Cork Based

Our client, one of Ireland’s largest health insurance providers has an exciting new opportunity to join their team as a Pricing Analyst. The successful applicant will join the Business Development team and assist in developing and marketing the company’s products and services.

This role is based in Cork and has a hybrid work structure. This is an great opportunity for an actuarial graduate or part-qualified actuary with preferably 2+ years working in an analytical or actuarial role. In this role, you will liaise with both internal and external clients and service providers.

About the Health Pricing Analyst role

This Health Pricing Analyst role will report to the Senior Pricing Analyst Team Leader.

Duties for the role include (but are not limited to): 

• Managing pricing models for pricing reviews
• Assisting and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders by providing accurate analysis to support decision making and prioritising portfolio ESG factors
• Consistently accurate preparation of corporate group analysis and providing support to ad hoc projects
• Ability to present complex actuarial work to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Creative reporting to positively impact business KPI’s and develop new innovative products
• Assist in the reviewing of pricing practices
• Construction of costing of proposed benefits and products

Actuarial skills required

This Health Pricing Analyst role would best suit a candidate with 2 + years experience in a professional role and a mathematical mindset. Candidates will ideally have experience of the following: 

• Strong Knowledge of programming languages and data processing abilities – SQL, Power BI and MS Office
• Honours Bachelors Degree in relevant field
• Great problem solving skills and analytical skills.
• Ability to investigate and present findings from analytics to easily understandable business opportunities.
• Pricing and Reporting experience is a plus
