Reserving and Modelling Analyst (French Speaking)

We are currently seeking a Trainee Actuary to join a large European Assurance Group as a Reserving and Modelling Analyst as part of an enthusiastic and productive team. This position is based in Dublin City Centre. The successful applicant will ideally have 2-3 years experience working in an actuarial role and will speak fluent French. This position is open to those coming from a life/non-life background. A fully supported study package and flexible hybrid working options are also offered.

About the Reserving and Modelling role

Duties for this Reserving and Modelling role include (but are not limited to): 

• French and English Fluency are required as this role involves working with teams in Dublin and Paris
• Involves preparing yearly budgets, updating reserving policies and calculating reserves, testing new methodologies, and working in an efficient manner
• Updating and producing processes and procedures for the actuarial department
• Develop new analysing tools for comprehending technical reserves and results
• Presenting complex topics in an understandable manner
• Liasing with both internal and external teams from a variety of departments

Actuarial skills required

Our Client is looking to find a Trainee Actuary with relevant experience. Candidates must ideally have experience of the following: 

• 2-3 years working in an actuarial setting
• Strong IT, programming and analytical skills
• Great knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to work as a team and communicate efficiently
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good relationships required.
