PQ Pricing Actuary

We're working with a top tier 'Insurance Investor' who are looking to add part-qualified actuaries to the team.

The firm are exceptionally high performing and hold an enviable reputation within the market. The successful candidate will benefit from being in a high performing environment and the training provided.

This individual will sit within the Actuarial Pricing team to asses potential new business transactions. You will play a key part in a rapidly expanding balance sheet of over £80billion AUM.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed due diligence on potential transactions.
• Modelling scheme benefits within a proprietary valuation system.
• Communicating technical issues to senior stakeholders.
• Developing effective relationships with external stakeholders.
• Expressing an opinion on new business opportunities, understanding risks and commercial benefits.
• Producing projected deal economics and information for deal approval process.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1-year relevant experience within Insurance/Pensions.
• Progress towards Actuarial Qualifications.
• BSc in a numerate discipline (e.g. STEM, Finance, Economics).
• Both numerate and able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Inquisitive, able to learn on one’s own and absorb new information quickly.

Location: London

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus excellent bonus
