Senior Commercial Actuary (Longevity) | Reinsurer | London (Hybrid) | up to £110,000 & Benefits

Exciting opportunity for an experienced actuary to join a global reinsurer in this multifaceted role across origination, pricing, process development, and longevity. The role is open to those from either a life or pensions background.

In this role, you'll lead new business tenders globally, ensuring precision as a checker or reviewer. You will become the team's expert on pricing models, providing technical and modelling support. As well as evaluate and integrate new data sources and modelling approaches for competitive and efficient Longevity team processes. Contribute to system development in Excel and R, optimizing tools for competitive pricing.

You will also be responsible for supporting on the longevity basis development in both UK and non-UK markets, aid in UK proposition development, and contribute to the overall longevity strategy. Assist the Head of Longevity with ad-hoc tasks and provide guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.

This position is ideal for anyone who comes from a strong technical background and is comfortable being in front of clients.

What you’ll need to successful in this role:

• FIA qualified actuary
• Strong knowledge of the bulk annuity market and/or longevity swap pricing
• Knowledge of DB pension schemes
• Modelling skills including Excel, VBA, R, and/or other programming languages
• Good communication skills
• Commercial awareness
