Job Details
Longevity Actuary sought by a global Reinsurer.
Our client are seeking a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary to join them as a Longevity Actuary in a role that will see you helping the Longevity team in securing profitable new business by acing as a pricing and process expert.
You will help ensure the businesses approach to pricing longevity risk is market appropriate, and that their product offerings and processes are optimised.
The Longevity Actuary will also support the wider team across a range of actuarial work including checking new business quotes, proposition and basis work, as well as system development.
Responsibilities of the Longevity Actuary:
- Support new business tenders both for UK and in non-UK markets.
- Develop an in-depth approach of the pricing approach and models used.
- Assess new data (internal and external) and modelling approaches
Key experience of the Longevity Actuary:
- Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary.
- Experience within Longevity.
- Advanced user of Excel and a good understanding of VBA, R, or other programming languages.
